I came to Fondia in September 2010. I was impressed with Fondia’s new approach to business law and offering of law services. At Fondia I am continuously awed by the friendly atmosphere and people, the “fantastic fondians”.

Before Fondia I had the chance to work for several years as a corporate lawyer. I have gained valuable experience mostly in the fields of finance law and contract law. Negotiating international IT-contracts has given me the opportunity to get familiar with the negotiating cultures of London, Tokio and Mumbai. In contracts I am fascinated with their many dimensions: a short and quickly made contract (or one not made at all) can have a crucial impact on company risk management and, in contrast, a thorough, long and expensively negotiated contract can quickly turn out to be exaggerated in terms of the company’s needs. A good contract lawyer can perhaps realize these situations beforehand and increase the company’s efficiency.

In my spare time I am a father who loves to play around with his two young children. I’m also a passionate city-person who wants to contribute to making the slightly rural Helsinki a bit more cosmopolitan. When I want to relax I cook my family organic food, go running around Töölönlahti, play the piano or immerse myself into watching a good game of football.
