I joined Fondia´s office in Oulu in February 2010, having gained considerable experience as an in-house lawyer. I came to Fondia from the University of Oulu, where I was in charge of, among other things, the contracts concerning research projects. IPR matters also played a big role in my work. Before the University, I worked for years as a corporate lawyer at Metso Automation which is a part of the Metso Group. I worked first as a lawyer and then as the head lawyer responsible for the company´s global legal issues. At Metso I worked in the legal department resolving all of the legal matters concerning their business.
I trained on the bench at Oulu district court in 1996. I have also gained some extra education by doing the LL.M degree at the University of Maastricht, Holland in 1997.
I spend my spare time with my children. In the winter time I like to ski Telemark-style in the mountains. By the next fall, I am aiming to better my time result from my first Ruskamarathon.
